ICE TECHNOLOGIES, Loss of braking efficiency from overheating, which can occur on the brake disc and pickup when braking on long descents for example, has a negative impact on braking performance. SHIMANO ice TECHNOLOGIES brake disc and ICE TECHNOLOGIES pickup have been adopted to make cooling technology a reality that provides reliable performance. The coated brake disc blade, which has a 3-layer sandwich structure made of stainless steel, aluminum and stainless steel, provides better radiation performance and can range from 400oC to 300oC surface temperature. A radiation fin for the pill has also been adopted. In addition, the coated brake disc pad and radiator fin offer long pickup life, less noise, less loss of braking efficiency from overheating, and light weight.
AVAILABLE in resin or metcompound, the optional radiation fin pickup with 2-layer back plate (aluminum fin with stainless steel) further enhances radiation performance.
ICE TECHNOLOGY piston, ICE TECHNOLOGY piston for light weight, high stiffness and optimal heat dissipation. Oversized pistons directly transfer hydraulic power to the brake pad and ceramic material is used to prevent heat transfer in order to obtain stable constant braking, providing efficient lossless braking power transfer.
ONE WAY BLEEDING, has been developed for quick and easy prevention of the presence of air in our hydraulic system. We have streamlined the oil travel in the system to avoid air bubbles in the system.
