Pedals LOOK X-Track Race Carbon 2018, the new mountain pedal that makes all the difference! All the energy you produce is transferred to your mountain bike via the pedals. Therefore, it is an essential component of your MTB.
THE BEST POWER-TO-WEIGHT RATIO
All the energy you produce is transferred to your mountain bike via the pedals. Therefore, it is an essential component of your MTB.
In LOOK we set ourselves a new challenge: to find solutions that optimize the transfer of energy from the cyclist to the bike. That is why we have decided to establish the weight/contact surface ratio as the main factor when defining our product.
Generally speaking, the larger the contact surface, the better the energy is transferred. In addition, the larger the contact surface, the more the pedal will weigh.
Thus, our engineers faced the challenge of identifying the most useful areas for energy transmission and then optimizing the pedal design to limit those that are not used. In this way we were able to design a pedal with the best weight/contact surface ratio on the market.
LATERAL CONTACT SUPPORT
The side contact bracket guides your foot to find the pedal and gives you a point of contact even if you haven't hooked the cove yet. This large contact area prevents your foot from sliding down the pedal and gives you a uniform and secure support.
The mechanism works independently of external conditions (in mud the forces are very different than on dry soil) and the more space there is the more easily the mud remains, sand, etc. fall. These areas provide great stability and support to the cyclist in any condition.
An adjustable tension screw allows you to adjust the input/release voltage to suit your needs.
