The Shimano XTR Di2 shift knob is fully configurable, for example: it can take care of the derailleur, it can be adjusted so that with each press, it comes up 3 sprockets, or all, or the chain speed from one pinion to another, etc. Thanks to the Syncro Shift you can operate the derailleur and shift with a single pushbutton. The pushbutton is not really such, but a switch that has been modeled to offer behavior very similar to conventional change.
