Vectran Technology™ Breaker

Vectran is a high-tech synthetic processing fiber from a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran is a liquid crystal polymer (LCP). Vectran is weeded from the melted liquid polymer Vectra and then processed in the form of a multi filament thread. Spider silk, like Vectran material, offers enormous wear resistance and very low weight – exactly the right properties to produce a superior Continental bike cover with built-in anti-prick protection. The Vectran Breaker element is lighter and more flexible, as well as more effectively protects against cuts than nylon protections on other comparable covers. Vectran Breaker does not compromise the rolling resistance of the cover.

DuraSkin

Covers with the DuraSkin protection system on the flanks have to roll by force. They are used under the harshest conditions. High quality polyamide material protects the cover housing from the worst conditions. These covers stand out from the others for their brown flanks.
