Actually, the Aria jacket is very different from your old jacket that flaps into the wind and doesn't guarantee protection or breathability. This jacket is an incredibly light layer that does not let the wind pass, allowing high breathability thanks to the side panels in mesh fabric. But what you'll really appreciate are the elastic side panels on the back of the sleeves to fit like a second skin: no wind flapping fabric, no cold air circulating inside the jacket. It won't look like a return to the Armstrong era anymore. This jacket is light and warm enough to be able to put during your outings in mild weather, if you want to take it out it is highly compressible to be able to store it in a back pocket or saddle bag.
